Funeral services for Conchita Gonzales Mendez, age 62, of Lindale, Texas are scheduled for 11:00 A.M. Saturday, August 22, 2020 at the Caudle-RutledgeDaugherty Funeral Home in Lindale with Pastor Emigdio Rosales and Pastor Becky Collville officiating. Interment will follow in the Lindale City Cemetery with services under the direction of Caudle-Rutledge-Daugherty Funeral Home. Conchita passed away Friday, August 14, 2020 at her residence in Lindale. She was born in Saginaw, Michigan on October 1, 1957 to Julio M. and Amparo M. (Samaniejo) Gonzales and was a longtime resident of Lindale. Conchita retired as a secretary from the Smith County Juvenile Detention Center and had been a member of the Life of Glory Church but most recently she was attending the Vida Abundante en un Mismo Espiritu Church with her husband. She loved crocheting and had a caring spirit and a true servant’s heart. Conchita helped her local Hispanic Community with language translation and most of all, she was a loving wife, mother, sister, and grandmother. She was preceded in death by her father, Julio M. Gonzales and by 2 brothers, Jose Gonzales and Anthony Gonzales. Conchita is survived by her loving husband of 18 years, Julian Mendez of Lindale, Texas; mother, Amparo M. Gonzales of Saginaw, Michigan; 5 children, Joshua D. Burrola and wife, Cecelia Stevenson of Tyler, Texas, Gilberto S. Olivares and wife, Valencia of Tyler, Texas, Stephen J. Olivares and wife, Cady of Lindale, Texas, Julio Mendez of Tyler, Texas, and Marco Mendez of Lindale, Texas; 10 siblings, Maria Salinas, Guadalupe Cruz, Julio Gonzales, Jr. and wife, Jean Ann, Francis Allen and husband, Johnny, Frank Gonzales, Carol Gatica, George Gonzales, Cruz Lotz and husband, Rick, Thresa Franco and Angelita Gonzales; daughter-in-law, Kathy Gonzales; and 2 grandchildren, Stephen J. Olivares, Jr. and Evonnie Mendez. Serving as pallbearers will be Joshua D. Burrola, Gilberto S. Olivares, Stephen J. Olivares, Julio Mendez, Marco Mendez, Roy Robinson and Craig Ray. The family will receive friends from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Friday, August 21, 2020 at the Caudle-Rutledge-Daugherty Funeral Home in Lindale, Texas. As a Covid-19 precaution masks are required at all visitations and funeral services.
