Clifford Wayne Jordan

Funeral services for Mr. Clifford Wayne Jordan, age 74 of Lindale, are scheduled for 2:00 P.M. Thursday, October 9, 2008 in the Caudle-Rutledge Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Byron Howard officiating. Interment will follow in the Lindale City Cemetery with services under the direction of Caudle-Rutledge Funeral Home in Lindale. Mr. Jordan died Monday, October 6, 2008 in a Tyler hospice center. He was born April 1, 1934 in Robeline, Louisiana, the son of the late Thomas & Ebber Waters Jordan. He moved to Lindale in 2001. Mr. Jordan retired after 20 years of service with the United States Air Force, 6 of which he served with the Central Intelligence Agency. Mr. Jordan also worked as Assistant Police Chief in Manchester, Tennessee and attended the Central Baptist Church in Lindale. He was preceded in death by Brothers, Charlie Jordan and Ray Jordan; Grandsons, Travis Jordan and Sgt. Michael Taylor who died in Iraq in 2005. Mr. Jordan is survived by his Wife, Mrs. Jane Holbrook Jordan of Lindale, Texas; 4 Sons, Donnie & Debbie Jordan of Boerne, Texas, Scott Jordan & Aimee Najvar of New Braunfels, Texas, Kent & Sandi Jordan of Magnolia, Texas and Phillip Jordan of New Braunfels, Texas; Stepson, Ben & Betty Mayfield of Katy, Texas; Step-Daughter, Kim Bryan and husband, Matt of Whitehouse, Texas; 4 Brothers & Sisters-in-law, Fred Jordan of Provencal, Louisiana, Don & Barbara Jordan of Robeline, Louisiana, Paul & Bell Jordan of Natchitoches, Louisiana and Kenny & Carolyn Jordan of Robeline, Louisiana; 3 Sisters & Brothers-in-law, Betty & Dan Dufrene of Broussard, Louisiana, Doris Cooper of Brewton, Alabama and DeLois & Charles Bybee of Lindale, Texas; 12 Grandchildren, Luke Jordan of Lackland AFB, Matthew Jordan of Boerne, Texas, Hannah Jordan of Boerne, Texas, Kimberley Jordan of New Braunfels, Texas, Melony Moreno of New Braunfels, Texas, Dusti Taylor of Magnolia, Texas, Matti Ginoble of North Richland Hills, Texas, Shawn Benoit of Magnolia, Texas, Meagan Mayfield of Katy, Texas, Kristen Mayfield of College Station, Texas, Peyton Bryan of Whitehouse, Texas and Price Bryan of Whitehouse, Texas; 6 Great Grandchildren, Nicole Scott of New Braunfels, Texas, Ellie Porter of Dallas, Texas, Zamiel Moreno of New Braunfels, Texas, Malachi Moreno of New Braunfels, Texas, Nathanael Moreno of New Braunfels, Texas and Sadie Taylor of Magnolia, Texas; and numerous other relatives and friends. Grandsons and Nephews will serve as honorary pallbearers. The family will receive friends from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Wednesday evening at the Caudle-Rutledge Funeral Home in Lindale.
