Daphene Gimble Caudle

Services for Mrs. Daphene Gimble Caudle, age 90 of Lindale, are scheduled for 11 am Wednesday, February 1, 2017 in the Caudle-Rutledge-Daugherty Funeral Home Chapel in Lindale with Pastor Tom Buck officiating. Interment will follow in the Lindale City Cemetery. Mrs. Caudle went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Saturday, January 28, 2017. She was born on July 29, 1926 in New Harmony to Paul & Dollie Frances Cates Gimble and was a life long resident of New Harmony and Lindale. Daphene was a loving and faithful wife, mother and grandmother. She was a member of the Lindale First Baptist Church where she was a member of the Naomi-Winsom Sunday School Class. She retired from Lindale State Bank where she served as head cashier and vice president and then served many years as secretary treasurer and board member of the family business Caudle-Rutledge Funeral Directors. Daphene was preceded in death by an infant daughter, June Frances Caudle, husband, Ed B Caudle, brothers, Zan Gimble and Herman Gimble and sister, Margie Adams and husband, Milton Adams, and sister-in-law, Joy Gimble. She is survived by son and daughter-in-law, Dr. Michael & Patricia Caudle of Bryan; daughter & son-in-law, Janet & C. James Rutledge of Lindale; 2 brothers and sister-in-law, Rudy Gimble of Tyler; Bobby and Jean Gimble of New Harmony; sister-in-law, Mrs. Nita Gimble of New Harmony; grandchildren, Gregory Michael Caudle & wife, Tanisha, Allison Renee’ Rutledge, Cory Paul Rutledge & wife, Cassie & Angela Kim Caudle; great grandchildren, Caleb Gregory Caudle, Connor James Rutledge, Cameron Paul Rutledge (to arrive soon), Chaye Boudreaux & Matthew Boudreaux; and great-great granddaughter, Lexi Cornell. Serving as pallbearers will be Tommy Stewart, Danny Adams, Lynn Gimble, Mark Gimble, Gary Adams, Charles Adams, Terry Gimble, and Jerry Lockhart. The family will receive friends from 6 pm to 8 pm on Tuesday, January 31, 2016 at the Caudle-Rutledge-Daugherty Funeral Home. Our family would like to express our appreciation for the special care of our Mother to the Staff of the Wesley House and to Jeff, Robin, Regan & staff of the Caudle-Rutledge-Daugherty Funeral Home in Lindale.
