Janet Milam Munn

Funeral Services for Mrs. Janet Milam Munn, age 54, of Lindale, are scheduled for 2:00 PM on 'Wednesday, January 4, 2012 in the Caudle-Rutledge Funeral Home chapel with Rev.s A.R. Wynn & Paul Drewry officiating. Interment will follow in the Dover Cemetery. Mrs. Munn was born on February 13, 1957 in Tyler to J.B. & Daisy Phillips Milam and died on Monday, January 2, 2012 at the Hospice Homeplace in Tyler. Jan graduated from Van High School and at the age of 19, Jan's brother, Reggie Milam introduced her to Mickey Munn, the man she would marry and spend the rest of her life with. Jan and Mickey were married 35 years at the time of her death and shared love and laughter and the wonderful privilege of raising their two sons. Jan was preceded in death by her father, J.B. Milam on October 6, 1996, and was a member of the Dover Baptist Church in Carroll. She is survived by the joys of her life, her husband and best friend, Mickey Munn, Son, Chad Munn, Son, Tim Munn & wife Karen, Mother, Daisy Milam, Brother, Reggie Milam, grand daughter, Maci Munn, and niece Cayce Holmes. Her most proud accomplishment was being mother to her two sons and grandmother to Maci. Affectionally known to Maci as "Nana", Nana loved to spend time with Maci and watch her playing sports. We know that Nana will be in heaven watching Maci play throughout her life. Jan fought a courageous battle of cancer with her Mother, Daisy Milam by her side the entire time and is now at peace and with no pain. Jan's family would like to express the thanks and gratitude to Dr. Wendell Hand who was there for her any hour of any day, to Dr. Donald Richard, to Dr. Peter Myers, and the staff at Hospice of East Texas, who not only cherished Jan and made her last minutes of life comfortable, but also secured her family knowing that she was in the hands of God and at peace. Pallbearers will be Tommy Mallory, Joseph Harris, Pat Oxford, Terry Gimble, Robert Johnson, and Mark Gimble. Honorary Pallbearers will be Bobby McClenny and Harold Friend Visitation will be from 6PM to 8PM on Tuesday evening at the Caudle-Rutledge Funeral Home in Lindale.
