Jim Regian

A Celebration of Life for James “Jim” William Regian will be held on Saturday, August 30, 2025, at the Hideaway Lake Marina from 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. with a short service at 1:00 p.m. Jim passed away at the age of 63 at his home on August 11, 2025 and is now reunited with the love of his life, Kelly, and is in the loving embrace of our Savior. Jim was born in Tyler, Texas on October 27, 1961, to the late Mr. and Mrs. William Henry Regian II. He was the youngest of six children, all boys. Jim spent his early years in Mineola and Hideaway, Texas and is a proud graduate of Lindale High School Class of 1980. He married his childhood sweetheart, Kelly Friberg, on July 16, 1983, at the age of 21. Jim and Kelly were members of the First United Methodist Church of Lindale. Jim had a long, successful career in the “fish business” and traveled the country doing what he loved, but his heart was never far from Hideaway Lake. He loved fishing, golfing, poker, and sports. He enjoyed spending time with his many friends and family, and especially loved all animals. He had a talent for telling stories and making people laugh. He was unique, laid back, and would give you the shirt off his back without being asked. Some of his favorite memories were traveling with his daughter, watching his grandsons’ baseball games, and seeing his nephew Hunter win a Tony award. He was preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Evelyn Regian, and his wife Kelly Friberg Regian. Jim is survived by his only daughter, Jamie Mowery, son-in-law, Britt Mowery Jr., his beloved grandsons Everett and Beckett Mowery of Hideaway, Texas, his five older brothers and their wives, Steve and Debbie Regian, Greg and Diane Regian, Mark and Becky Regian, Jeff and Nelda Regian, and Scott and Julie Regian, along with numerous nieces and nephews, who were very special to him. The family would also like to give thanks to Laura Collins, his caretaker, business partner, and friend. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the American Heart Association to honor Jim by aiding others battling cardiovascular disease.
