Michael Keith Adams

Michael Keith Adams, age 60, passed away Monday July 17, 2023 in Tyler, Texas. Keith was born December 30, 1962 in Dallas, Texas. Keith has lived in many places, including Dallas, Garland, Tyler, and Stigler, OK, but was a long time resident of Winona, Texas. In fact, he knew most everyone in Winona. Keith was a friend to so many. Keith was a jack of all trades, a fix-it man. Throughout his life he had several different hobbies/projects, which included: making Christmas floats, large crop gardening, farming, and using tools/machinery to help everyone he knew. In the past, he owned and operated MK Adams Trucking where he hauled newspapers for Dallas Morning News. In the past, he was also a Winona Volunteer Firefighter. Keith loved spending time with his family. He was a family man indeed. Anyone that knew him knew, knew he could crack a joke so easily, and make everyone laugh hysterically. Keith enjoyed going to Tyler State Park, and going swimming. He loved to do big bonfires. He enjoyed playing his djembe (a specific type of drum), and was able to use his talent to serve his church. Most importantly, Keith loved the Lord, and was a church member at Starrville Community Church. He is preceded in death by Charles Lester Adams (Father), Danny Ray Adams (Brother),Harold Ray Petty (Brother), Vickie Lynn Adams (Sister), and Mildred Gann. He is survived by Vergie Mae (Plunk) Adams (Mother), Terri Maureen Brown (Sister), Cara Michelle Jack (Sister), Charles David Gann (Brother), and Samuel Douglas Gann (Brother). His daughters included: Courtney, Melania Adams, Heather and husband, Jacob Machiavello, Vickie and husband, Dalton Shiflett, and Sarah and husband, Jimmy Gear II. Grandchildren included: Jordan Jett Jr., Jimmy Gear III, David Keith Machiavello, Emma Shiflett, Charles Machiavello, Benjamin Machiavello, Embry Shiflett, and Henry Machiavello. A visitation will be held from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M Monday, July 24th, 2023 at Caudle-Rutledge-Daugherty Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 10:30 am Tuesday, July 25th, 2023 at Starrville Community Church. A burial will follow at Harris Creek Cemetery. Pastor Paul Bolding will be officiating the service. Pallbearers will be Jimmy, Jacob, Zach, Dalton, Mitch, J.C., Jordan Jett Jr., Jimmy Gear III, and David Keith.
