Tim Smith

Services for Mr. Tim Smith, age 60 of Tyler, Texas, are scheduled for 3:00 PM Sunday, August 29, 2021, at the Cross Brand Cowboy Church in Tyler, Texas with Pastor Micah Morrow and Pastor Danny Rayford officiating. Interment will follow at the Center Cemetery with services under the direction of Caudle-Rutledge-Daugherty Funeral Home in Lindale, Texas. Tim passed away Tuesday, August 24, 2021 at a hospital in Tyler, Texas. He was born in Bonifay, Florida on May 15, 1961 to the late Paul and Annie Mae (Grantham) Smith. Tim moved to Texas in 1987 where he was a longtime resident. He worked for Southeast Helical in sales and was self-employed in residential and commercial construction. Tim loved his work but most of all he loved his family. He enjoyed being active in his children and grandchildren’s lives, fishing, hunting, and his tractor. Tim loved to serve others through his work at Cross Brand Cowboy Church and was a member of the Big Sandy Lodge #916. Tim loved his God and his family and being cornhole champion. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Wendell Smith. Tim is survived by his wife of 33 years, Peggy (Kinard) Smith of Tyler, Texas; six children, Jamie Smith and wife, Randi of Hawkins, Texas; Danny Smith and wife, Crystal of Hawkins, Texas; Todd Smith and wife, April of Tyler, Texas; Amanda Smith of Palestine, Texas; Paul Smith of Tyler, Texas; and Gavin Smith of Tyler, Texas; eleven grandchildren, Raeli Smith, Paeton Smith, Taetum Smith, Eli Smith, Natalie Smith, Hayden Smith all of Hawkins, Texas; Jordan Smith, Peyton Snow, Landon Smith all of Tyler, Texas; Laela Cruz and Hailie Cruz both of Houston, Texas; great grandchildren, Kingston Taylor and Kinsler Smith of Hawkins, Texas; five brothers, Lavon Smith and wife, Ellen; Wayne Smith and wife, Sondra; Jerry Smith and wife, Valera; Larry Smith and wife, Jo; Dennis Smith and wife, Dana; three sisters, Sarah Smith Harlow, Martha Smith Anderson, and Lucille Smith Harris and husband, Joe; sister-in-law, Keiko Smith and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family members. Serving as pallbearers will be Jordan Smith, Paeton Smith, Peyton Smith, Hayden Smith, Ray McFarland, Lawrence Cannon, DJ Smith, and Rocky McMillan. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM Sunday, August 29, 2021 at the Cross Brand Cowboy Church in Tyler, Texas.
