Funeral services for Barbara Durham, age 85 of Lindale, Texas, is scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 19, 2022, at the Caudle-Rutledge-Daugherty Funeral Home Chapel in Lindale with Chaplain Don Barron officiating. Family will receive friends an hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at the Lindale City Cemetery. Barbara passed away Friday, April 15, 2022, in Tyler, Texas. She was born November 26, 1936, in Wichita, Kansas. Barbara was a resident of Lindale for over 30 years and was previously a resident of Tyler. For 23 years she was the co-owner and operator of The You Name It Shop in Tyler and Lindale, a founding member of the Lindale Chamber of Commerce, was instrumental in getting the Tyler Civitan Club to become the first group to adopt a two-mile stretch of US Highway 69 in 1985 as Civitan International Governor of Texas, a sponsor and volunteer of the Great Texas Balloon Race. Barbara (and husband Ralph) were also active square dancers, and members of the East Texas Square & Round Dance Association, receiving the first Square Dancer of the Year award in 1974 and served as President of the organization in 1999. She also enjoyed taking beautiful pictures of flowers, nature and family and spending time with her beloved family. Barbara was preceded in death by parents, Eugene Otis and Opal Olive (Gaither) Foncannon, and Son-in-Law, Ric Lindsey. She is survived by her husband Ralph Durham of Tyler; children, Robert Durham and wife, Judy of Lindale, Ray Durham and wife, Sherri of Edom, Sherri Whatley and husband, Mark of Tyler, Rhonda Cameron and husband, Brian of Lindale; grandchildren, Chassity Sukiennik and husband, Cris of Flint, Nicole Sikes and husband, David of Whitehouse, Kandice Durham of Flint, Jessica Johnson and husband Nick of Granbury, Jacob Hinds and wife, Sarah of Seattle, Allie Durham of Bedford, Erin Salyer and husband, Quincy of Lindale, Audrey Stinson and husband, Hunter of Tyler, Garrett Cameron of Lindale, and Brianna Tankersley and husband, Derick of Dallas; 18 great grandchildren and numerous other loving family members and friends. Serving as pallbearers will be Garrett Cameron, Hunter Stinson, Cris Sukiennik, Jacob Hinds, Nick Johnson, and Quincy Salyer. Honorary pallbearers include Chassity Sukiennik, Nicole Sikes, Kandice Durham, Jessica Johnson, Allie Durham, Erin Salyer, Audrey Stinson, and Brianna Tankersley.
