Services for Mrs. Birdie Mae Thieleman, age 90 of New Harmony Community, Texas, are scheduled for 11:30 AM Saturday, October 26, 2019 at the New Harmony Baptist Church with Bro. Walter Hogue and Ministry Assistant Brady Weaver officiating. A private interment will follow in the New Harmony Cemetery with services under the direction of Caudle-Rutledge-Daugherty Funeral Home in Lindale. Mrs. Thieleman passed away Tuesday, October 22, 2019 at a nursing center in Tyler. She was born in Franklin County, Texas on February 14, 1929 to the late Dewey Frances and Lucy Lee (Pines) Roberts. Mrs. Thieleman was a longtime resident of the New Harmony Community and member of the New Harmony Baptist Church. She was a member of the Sanctuary Sunday School Class and the Comforter Ministry group. Mrs. Thieleman retired from the Tyler ISD’s Dixie Elementary in 1993 where she worked in the lunchroom. She is preceded in death by her husband, George Leon Thieleman, her brother, Harvey Roberts, and son-in-law, Derris Smith. She is survived by her children, Sharon Smith of New Harmony; Wayne Thieleman of New Harmony; and Jerry Thieleman and wife, Kathryn of New Harmony; 3 grandsons, Travis Smith of New Harmony; Chad Williams and wife, Candice of New Harmony; and Jake Thieleman of New Harmony; granddaughter, Jessica Thieleman of New Harmony; 3 great grandchildren, Aubrie Williams, Emma Fay Williams, and Tucker Wolfe; 2 nephews, a niece, special friend, Delayne Barron, and her church family from New Harmony Baptist Church. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM Saturday, October 26, 2019 at the New Harmony Baptist Church.
