Chuck McClenny

Charles Leroy McClenny passed away on Tuesday, April 28, 2020 at the age of 84. Known to all as Chuck, he was born on December 16, 1935 to the late James Wilburn and Odena Black McClenny in Jamestown, Texas. He graduated from Lindale High School and went on to serve in the U.S. Navy before returning to Lindale and starting a family with his wife, Rachel Anderson McClenny. Chuck worked for Tyler Pipe for 30 years but spent much of his time pursuing the activities he loved, such as farming, quail hunting, and enjoying the company of his friends and family. With his knack for storytelling and mischievous sense of humor, he was the constant life of the party and loved by everyone who knew him. Chuck is preceded in death by his wife, Rachel; his brother, James; his sister, Betty; and his grandson, Matthew. He is survived by his three children, Sherry McClenny, Monte McClenny, Heath McClenny, and son-in-law Freddie Warren; his four grandchildren, Hayley, Ariel, Misty, and Jacob; one great-grandson, Mylo; his brothers Eugene McClenny (Joyce) and Bobby McClenny; and his sisters Elouise Cook, Sarah Hicks (Dan), Carolyn Brown, and Nita Herring (Curtis); numerous nieces and nephews. Memorial services will be held at a later date.
