Services for Jackie Ray Echols, age 72 of Lindale, are scheduled for 2:00 PM Wednesday, August 24, 2016 at the Caudle-Rutledge-Daugherty Funeral Home in Lindale with Rev. Ronnie Polly officiating. Interment will follow in the Dover Cemetery. Mr. Echols died Sunday, August 21, 2016 at his residence in Lindale. He was born in Tyler, Texas on February 2, 1944 to T.L. and Dottie Mae (Head) Echols. Mr. Echols owned and operated the J&R Chevron Station at I-20 and 110. He was also a member of the Trinity Fellowship Church in Lindale where he was baptized. Mr. Echols was preceded in death by his father, T.L. “Red” Echols, daughter, Teresa Echols, and granddaughter, Shyanne Duckworth. He is survived by wife of 42 years, Ruby Echols of Lindale; 3 sons, Jackie Duane Echols of Tyler; Danny Echols of Ben Wheeler; and Justin Echols of Lindale; daughter, Kimberly Diane Echols of Lindale; sister, Vonda Sue Humphries of Jamestown; and mother, Dottie Mae Glass of Garden Valley; step-children, Jimmy Hawley and wife, Keeshea of Lindale; Christy LeMarie of Lindale; 9 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Serving as pallbearers will be Justin Echols, Corey Partain, David Bailey, Tom Smauley, Ricky Smauley, Danny Echols and Dillon Baccus. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Tuesday, August 23, 2016 at the Caudle-Rutledge-Daugherty Funeral Home in Lindale.
