John Howard Holland Jr, age 81 of Whitehouse, Texas, passed away on Sunday, May 1, 2022, under hospice care following a lengthy illness peacefully at home surrounded by his loved ones He was born June 16, 1940 in Washington D.C. to the late John Howard Holland, Sr and Estelle Bryan Holland. John has lived in Whitehouse for the past 21 years. He retired as an IT professional after working for many years in the computer industry. John enjoyed working computers, repairing and building things around the house. He could do anything. He was a quiet man with a quirky sense of humor. When he left the house he always had a drink packet hidden in his hat. He was an avid animal lover and his will miss him terribly. He was a loving husband and step father, Papa John . He is survived by his wife Marsha Holland of Whitehouse. 3 step children. Marla Adair of Whitehouse , Ann Laubhan and husband Chris of Tyler, Adam Lair from Tulsa Oklahoma. Several step grandchildren and step great grandchildren. Also, 7 children. Dana Wood and husband Spencer, Bryan Holland of California, Julie Sizemore and husband James from Florida, David Holland and wife Angela from Utah. Daniel Holland, John Holland and wife Crystal from Utah and Rebecca Elbrader from Utah. One sister Jeanne Blad from South Bend Indiana. And numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. And many other loving family members and friends. He will be greatly missed. Also, thank you to the staff of Traditions hospice of Tyler for their love, support and compassionate care.
