Graveside services for Margie Castle Pace, age 88 of Lindale, Texas, is scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Saturday, February 5, 2022, at the Lindale City Cemetery with Bro. Dudley Brookshire and Rev. Orenthia Mason officiating. Margie passed away Wednesday, February 2, 2022, in Lindale. She was born February 19, 1933, in Floyd, Texas to the late Marion Bedford and Media Enola (Warren) Castle. Margie has lived in Lindale for the past 50 years and was a member of the Patton Lane Church of Christ in Tyler. She worked throughout her life as a Teacher and Librarian and retired after 33 years of service with Tyler ISD. She was a member of the Texas Library Association and in younger years the Flaming Flashes of Greenville High School and was voted Band Sweetheart her Senior Year. After retirement Margie enjoyed sewing, working the farm, gardening, tending to her animals, and spending time with her beloved family. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lee Roy Pace, January 26, 2022. Margie is survived by daughters, Debbe Pace Pickett and husband, Hubert of Ft. Worth and Cindy Gilbert of Lindale; grandchildren, Dr. Leslie Hutchins of Abilene, Amber Higgins and husband, Bryan of Ft. Worth, Aimee Gilbert of Lindale, and Abbee Gilbert of Lindale; great grandchildren, Talia Hutchins, and Haven Higgins; and numerous other loving family members and friends.
