Graveside services for Martha Wood Kirkpatrick, age 91, of the Red Springs Community in Smith County, Texas, are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Friday, February 2, 2018 at the Red Springs Cemetery under the direction of Caudle-Rutledge-Daugherty Funeral Home in Lindale, Texas. Mrs. Kilpatrick passed away at her home Thursday, February 1, 2018. She was born in Lindale, Texas on September 29, 1926 to the late Charles Ross and Edna (Griffin) Wood. She was a lifelong resident of Red Springs where she was a homemaker and loved spending time with her precious family. Martha enjoyed country western dancing, playing dominoes, gardening, and shopping. She was also a member of Friendly Baptist Church in Tyler, Texas and The Eastern Star in Lindale, Texas. Martha was preceded in death by her son, Jerry Kirkpatrick and her daughter-in-law, Debbie Kirkpatrick. She is survived by her husband of 75 years, J.L. Kirkpatrick of Red Springs; Son, Terry Kirkpatrick and wife, Mary of Red Springs; Sister, Sarah Harris and husband, Glen of Tyler, Texas; 5 Grandchildren, Michelle Howell, Jana Kirkpatrick, Susan Kirkpatrick, Clint Kirkpatrick, and Kerry Meredith; numerous nieces and nephews, and other loving relatives and friends.
