Mona Gentry

Graveside services for Mona Gentry, age 86 of Lindale, are scheduled for 3:30 PM Sunday, August 28, 2016 at the Lindale City Cemetery with Rev. Paul Smith officiating. Services are under the direction of Caudle-Rutledge-Daugherty Funeral Home in Lindale. Mrs. Gentry died Thursday, August 25, 2016 at a hospital in Henderson. She was born in Vina, Alabama on January 19, 1930 to the late Elmus Galveston and Liddie Agnue (Cockrell) Emerson. Mrs. Gentry moved to Lindale in 1950 where she was a member of the First United Methodist Church. She worked as a hairdresser at the Voyles Beauty Shop. Mrs. Gentry was preceded in death by her husband, John Denverd Gentry in 2003, 3 brothers and 5 sisters. She is survived by 2 daughters, Linda Foster and husband, Johnny of Henderson; Brinda Williams and husband, Dale of Mesquite; son, Louis Gentry and wife, Erika of Lindale; sister, Ruby Jean West of Lindale; 7 grandchildren, Treva Tew, Teri Crawford, Tim Gentry, Jason Foster, John Williams, Angela Lee, and Nicole Miller; 20 great grandchildren, 4 great-great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 2:00 PM to 3:30 PM at the Caudle-Rutledge-Daugherty Funeral Home in Lindale.
