Nadine P. Matthews Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Services for Nadine P. Matthews, age 80, of Lindale, Texas are scheduled for 11:00 A.M. Thursday, December 10, 2015 in the Clear View Church in Tyler, Texas with Rev. Gary Applewhite officiating. Interment will follow in the Mt. Sylvan Cemetery with services under the direction of Caudle-Rutledge-Daugherty Funeral Home in Lindale. Mrs. Matthews died Sunday, December 6, 2015 at her residence. She was born in Livingston, Texas on January 26, 1935 to the late Leonard Lloyd and Bonnie Ree (Cummings) Puckett and was a retired teacher. She attended Clear View Church in Tyler and was preceded in death by husband, James L. Matthews and husband, Leroy P. Stephenson. Mrs. Matthews is survived by 2 daughters & sons-in-law, Janet & Wayne Simmons of Lindale, Texas and Pamela & Johnny Cole of Terrell, Texas; 2 brothers & sister-in-law, Leonard Lloyd Puckett, Jr. of Waller, Texas and Benny Royce & Brenda Puckett of Bellechase, Louisiana; 6 sisters & brothers-in-law, Norene Bailey of Navarro Mills, Texas, Bonnie & Billy Dool of Dayton, Texas; Ann McKey of Weatherford, Texas, Nita & Ray Whitener of Corsicana, Texas, Joy & David Wiggins of Valdez, Alaska and LaTrelle & John Lindon of Huntsville, Texas; 4 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Honorary pallbearer is Brandon Simmons. Serving as pallbearers will be Wayne Simmons, Jr., Johnny Cole, Bart Williams, Bronson Simmons, Matthew Simmons and Sean Goetze. The family will receive friends from 10:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. prior to the service Thursday at the Clear View Church in Tyler.
