Mr. Robert Len Grimes, age 67 of Granbury, Texas, passed away Sunday, February 6, 2022, in Tyler, Texas. He was born August 6, 1954, in Midland, Texas to the late Robert Leland and Ora Belle (Cleveland) Grimes. Robert had recently moved to Granbury after retiring as a Heavy Equipment Demonstrator with Warren-Caterpillar in Midland. He was a member of Stonegate Fellowship Church in Midland and pastored the First Baptist Church of Garden City, Texas from 1995 to 1998. Robert enjoyed the outdoors, gardening, woodworking, welding, and spending time with his beloved family. He was preceded in death by his brother, Sonny Grimes. Robert is survived by his wife of 48 years, Laura Grimes of Granbury, Texas; children, Robert Grimes and wife, Bobbie of San Angelo, Texas, and Jennifer James and Husband, Sam of Lindale, Texas; sister, Jeanie Miller and husband, Tom of Rockwall, Texas; sister-in-law, Leo Grimes of Granbury, Texas; grandchildren, Bailey Grimes and Hannah James; and numerous other loving family members and friends.
