Tony Voyles Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Funeral services for Tony Voyles, age 65, of New Harmony Community, Texas are scheduled for 11:00 A.M. Friday, March 3, 2017 at New Harmony Baptist Church with Rev. Robbie Caldwell, Rev. David “Took” Martin and Rev. Terry Davis officiating. Interment will follow in the New Harmony Cemetery with services under the direction of Caudle-Rutledge-Daugherty Funeral Home in Lindale. Tony died Friday, February 24, 2017 in a Tyler, Texas hospital. He was born on November 1, 1951 to John Clayton and Dola Fern (Sullivan) Voyles and was a lifelong resident of Tyler and New Harmony. Tony currently owned and operated Jake’s Bar-B-Que Restaurant and was a member of the New Harmony Baptist Church. Above all else, Tony put his family first. He was preceded in death by his father, John Clayton “Buster” Voyles. Tony is survived by his wife, Gail Voyles of New Harmony; 2 sons, Jake Voyles New Harmony and Thomas Voyles of Tyler; 2 daughters & sons-in-law, Lisa & Terry Lynn Brown of Chandler and Jena & Tommy Pettit of New Harmony; mother, Dottie Voyles Frost of Decatur; grandchildren, Bradly Brown, Cody Brown, Emily Voyles, Ethan Pettit, Maci Pettit and Alexis Pettit; and sister & brother-in-law, Saundra & Guy Robertson of Whitehouse. Tony’s son-in-law, Tommy Pettit, died in Tyler following Tony on February 25, 2017. Serving as pallbearers are Paul Gimble, Joshua Gimble, Logan Morriss, Timothy Richardson, Adam Jackson, Ashton Wayne, Russ Jackson and Tommy Glenn Dykes. Honorary pallbearers are Glenn Dykes, Lee Perkins, Bob Hargett, Wayne Hortman and Dennis Rounsavall. The family will receive friends from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Thursday, March 2, 2017 at the Caudle-Rutledge-Daugherty Funeral Home in Lindale. The family would like to thank the ETMC Trauma ICU for their wonderful care of Tony. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of your choice.
