Walter "Dub" Lee Prescott Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Funeral services for Walter “Dub” Lee Prescott, age 68 of Lindale, Texas, is scheduled for 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 3, 2022, at the Caudle-Rutledge-Daugherty Funeral Home Chapel in Lindale with Charles Gilmore officiating. Interment will follow at Damascus Cemetery in Lindale. Walter passed away Thursday, July 28, 2022, in Plano, Texas. He was born July 23, 1954, in Colorado City, Texas to the late Walter and Dorothy Mae (Claxton) Prescott. Walter was a lifelong resident of Lindale where he retired from Duck Creek/Lindale Rural Water. He enjoyed the outdoors raising horses, off roading, hunting, fishing, working on cars, and slot car racing. Walter was also once very active with the Lindale Volunteer Fire Department. He was preceded in death by his son, Jesse Lee Prescott and brothers, Ray and Jackie Prescott. Walter is survived by his daughter, Angie Prescott of Lindale; sister, Dottie Armstrong of Lindale; special friend, Cris Prescott of Lindale; niece, Lorie Prescott of Lindale; and numerous other loving family members and friends. Serving as pallbearers will be Aaron Shugart, Tom Shugart, Duane Watts, Johnny Sills, John Sills, and Graham Hiss. Family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 2, 2022, at Caudle-Rutledge-Daugherty Funeral Home.
