Funeral Services for Wanda Kennedy, age 83 of Lindale, Texas, is scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 10, 2021, at the Caudle-Rutledge-Daugherty Funeral Home Chapel in Lindale with Rev. Cindy Heald officiating. Interment will follow at Lindale City Cemetery. Wanda passed away Thursday, August 5, 2021, at her home in Lindale. She was born March 6, 1938, in Dallas, Texas to the late Finnis Albert and Ada Mae (Long) Ivey. Wanda has lived in Lindale or the past 40 years. With a servant’s heart she served those 40 years with Meals on Wheels in Tyler, Texas as well as numerous charities. Wanda was a loving homemaker and cherished her time with her beloved family. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Dwight (J.D.) Kennedy and by her 5 sisters. Wanda is survived by her children, Johnathon Hulet, Jeanette Benavidez, Weldon Hulet and wife, Nora, Eldon Hulet and wife, Maria, Cheryl Basham and husband, Bobby, and Tony Hendricks; and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, soon to be great-great grandchild, nieces, nephews, and other loving family members and friends. Family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. prior to the service.
