Lt. Col. Warren B."Bill" Eaton

Graveside services with military honors for Lt. Col Warren B. “Bill” Eaton, age 93, of Hideaway, Texas are scheduled for 1:00 P.M. Friday, September 14, 2018 in the Tyler Memorial Park Cemetery in Tyler, Texas. Services are under the direction of Caudle-Rutledge-Daugherty Funeral Home in Lindale, Texas. Col. Eaton was born October 13, 1924 in Los Angeles, California to the late Col. Warren S. and Pearl D. (Lerch) Eaton. After school he joined the United States Army Air Corps in 1942 and was a B-29 pilot in World War II, an Intelligence Officer and Military Advisor to a Korean Fighter Wing, and a major war planner in the Pacific Command and 7th Air Force during the Vietnam War. Lt. Col. Eaton received numerous citations including the Distinguished Flying Cross, Air Medal and Bronze Star. After retiring with 28 years of service to his country, he held various positions at the East Texas Chest Hospital and at the Western Bank in Coos Bay, Oregon. He and his wife, Faye returned to East Texas in 1983 establishing their home at Hideaway. He was a member of the Lindale United Methodist Church, 60-year member of the Sons of the American Revolution, 60-year Masonic member of the Mt. Sylvan Lodge, 32 degree Scottish Rite, Dallas, Sharon Temple Golf Unit, and a lifetime member of the Military Officers Association of America. Lt. Col Eaton is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Faye Eaton of Hideaway, Texas; step-daughters, Francelia Weeks of McKinney, Texas and Pamela Loftus of Lindale, Texas, and niece Elizabeth of Ventura, California. The family will receive friends from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. Thursday, September 13, 2018 at the Caudle-Rutledge-Daugherty Funeral Home in Lindale.
